OH and I realize also that Crowley has designed a search engine. Would any of you kindly tell me how the blazes to search for anything on here? Either my intuition is one of a kind or it's counter-intuitive. Because I can't figure out how to use the search function, it keeps telling me error things.
how do I search for multiple tags at once, like I want to find a journal entry which has tag x, y and z in their tag list?

I realize that while I first thought it was a smart system to gather certain themes in "collection" entries, that makes it really hard for me to remember which pictures I've posted and not. And anyone looking for a certain theme can do that via tags searching instead, so I'll be shifting everything around to post pictures separately instead.

Please bear with me because that might take a while of gradually "re-posting" to rearrange. (I think I can set it to not notify you, but I may forget.)

Still listening to Lava Reef Zone. Beautiful.

It's almost a year and a half since my last entry here, I forgot I even had the account for a while. Lots of things using up working memory and energy.

Been diagnosed with high-functioning autism; the stretch of the spectrum known as Asperger. They're changing the title of it, but the functional definition is the same. The kind of support I can get if I show someone the paper. I honestly don't care what they call it - all I care about is that there is now a dialogue where people seem to understand what I'm saying. A diagnosis is a step toward getting help with some things (while people understand that I don't need help with some other things). So it's a relief. It's also a recognition of the effort I put in all the years nobody realized what was wrong, that someone else acknowledges that I did all I could, I did care, I did try. I gave it all I had and that wasn't enough. And that I have other things to give, that will show if I just get some backup in other arenas.
(For instance, I have extreme trouble getting my bearings. I used to get disoriented by just a regular turnstyle or marketplace. Like completely lost and my vision would start swimming. I get trouble focusing on buildings or the likes as wholes; I see a flood of details but can't keep track of the whole. It's gotten better, but that's because I spend most of my waking time working at it, mostly through Sonic ideas. When it comes to social navigation, I still am extremely easily disoriented.)

I may have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that really kicked off when I burned myself out at university, but is rooted in a genetic defect I have (some mutated enzyme or something). In the middle of examination for that. If you're curious, look up Canadian Clinical Criteria for it. My sister got diagnosed with it the other day - the genetic "whoopsie" runs in the family. Mom, Dad, my sister and my brother and me have some characteristic symptoms. We're all tested for the defect, all have various kinds of it.

Taking different B-vitamins, folates, E-vitamin, et c to compensate for the deficiencies you easily get when you're like this. It is making a difference, bit by bit. Also eating organically grown food, no pesticides, really helps. (which is likely because this syndrome makes your body's detox system fail. I simply can't filter out the stuff like your average person can.)  I skip all things with high histamine levels or that raise the body's histamine levels too much  - gluten, red wine, red meat, et c. If I cheat, I get various more or less obvious reactions, from just being easier to agitate in general to bad stomach and head aches. And I get weaker and weary all over when too many of those things combine.

So this has taken up a lot of energy and time, and I mostly rest when I'm not working at solving those problems. While I wish art did not stress me out, it often does, so I let up on that until it doesn't feel like a chore.

It’s been one of those ”stuff sinks in” days. Letting stuff catch up, letting stuff go, sitting back and admitting how I feel about my situation.

There’s something I’ve been doing for quite a while now with a work-in-progress Sonic fan fiction of mine, but found it hard to describe when asked about it. It's been almost entirely intuitive for me until very recently, and every time I tried to explain what I was doing, it sounded much more complicated than it really is.
But it’s about cutting to the core of what you’re writing, so you can maintain plot and character cohesion over time /story progress while keeping the flow and making characters appear "alive" /like real people.

I found a Tumblr post that described it much better than I can, very to-the-point.

a bit more pondering on this under the cut. :p

Sorry about the way I ramble when I finally give a life sign, too. :p

There are no obstacles, only different types of spring boards. If you can’t swim, walk on water.

Sonic warps my perspective on things.
At least one character outline says that despite the fact he can’t swim, he loves the oceans more than anything in nature. I just love the notion he would gladly trade his safety for the thrill of being there; that he would view his ”handicap” as nothing but another challenge, maybe even consider the risk part of the beauty of it.

And here, he’s with friends; if he lost speed, they’d hold him up. I picked the South Island crew because another thing that inspires me about Sonic is his loyalty to his friends. These guys were the first bunch of them, and we don’t really see them anymore. But the aforementioned outlines also say he keeps coming back to South Island, making it the closest thing he has to a home - which means he goes back to see his first friends, no matter how many he gains around the world.

Hoo boy, here we go. Let's see if I get this right. Bear with me.
(I can't seem to find a function for placing images under a cut; is there such a thing?)
EDIT: using cuts until I can figure out how to make images appear smaller. /EDIT

So I was thinking I'd make themed entries like this, and when there's something to add, I'll add it + notify of update. To make for less individual entries, and so people can track just one entry if that theme is interesting.

Going to try setting up entries with themes, to be updated as more artwork of the same theme is done. To make it easier to find all images of something at once. I might have to rearrange it.

EDIT: I'm making pairing centered entries for the characters I know I'll be pairing up a lot, romantically or otherwise. Meaning that any interaction between those characters as focus of a picture will end up in their respective entry. Interpretation is entirely up to you as the viewer, regardless of my intentions when drawing.
(Adult artwork will get its own entries.)

Pointers /tips on how the site works very appreciated. XD I'm probably going to bumble around for a while before I figure it out.

If DW keeps its promises, I could see myself making it one of my main bases, as it were. My first impression is quite solid. I hope they get their own image hosting up and running with time. Either way, it looks like a good place for writing.

I'm going to see how well it goes to host the images on Tumblr and link from there. Tell me if there's problems, and I'll have to think of something else.

I also don't know if it's better to keep entries public or not. The stuff I post so far has been posted elsewhere publicly already, so I guess I'll keep that public on here, too. Some stuff may be restricted to the "access" list though.
